At DE_CANTINA, the artists Aske Thiberg and Line Finderup Jensen exhibit works that revolve around themes such as; the nostalgia that can be associated with computer games, the dichotomy between the good and the bad, the gamer as an executant, puppies and much more.
Bio
Aske Thiberg
(b. 1994) is a Danish / Swedish artist who lives and works in Copenhagen. He works primarily with performance, text and 3D animated film, where fictional characters explore and portray topics such as loneliness and aggression. Among other things, Thiberg has participated in group exhibitions at Kunsthal Oslo, Copenhagen Contemporary, Nikolaj Kunsthal and Den frie Udstillingsbygning. He has made solo exhibitions on M100 and the exhibition space Sydhavn Station, and won the talent award at Charlottenborg's spring exhibition 2021. Thiberg is also one of ten artists running Udstillingsstedet Sydhavn Station.
Line Finderup Jensen (* 1991 / Denmark) works and lives between Copenhagen and Vienna. With a background in video and animation from Akademie der bildende Künste Wien (2019), she works as an artist and freelancer in film, 3D simulation and interactive video. Her work has been shown internationally in solo and group exhibitions as well as screened at film festivals.
